Team RAHMA will be trekking up Mount Snowdon on Saturday 14th May '22 - a challenge that requires a reasonable head for heights all for a great cause. Every penny raised will be utilised towards building the Rahma Institute. This is an amazing landmark project in Albania which will be a Darul Uloom for up to 200 girls with boarding facilities. The Rahma Institute will facilitate Islamic and secular education. In essence, it is a centre of knowledge, a pillar of hope and faith in a community destroyed by its communist past. Having a great sense of adventure is not the only goal team Rahma have in common.We also have a desire to support the plight of the Albanians following the effects of the communist regime. Whether taking part with a group of friends, or just solo, our team spirit will be flying high on the challenge. Donating towards the Rahma Institute is a a form of sadaqah jariyah - a continuous, flowing and ongoing charity. It is one of the most rewarding acts we can do in our lives as the benefits of giving this type of charity can be reaped in this lifetime and long after we have passed. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. (Muslim) You can build your own legacy and open the doors to sadaqah jariyah by donating towards the Rahma Instiute. With every salah prayed, every dua whispered, every verse of Quran recited and every piece of knowledge passed on within the walls of the institute, it will be a means of ongoing reward for you even once you have passed away.
