Miles over Mind
Campaign by Curve Foundation (RCN 1176935)
Miles over Mind campaign is a walking, scooting, running, cycling challenge throughout May to complete 100k raising money and awareness for children and young people with mental health conditions.

Story

On average in the UK it is estimated that 79% of young people say how they look is very important to them, 52% worry about the way they look, with 35% saying they often or always worry about their body image.

Curve Foundation has a mission to establish a dedicated support facility and drop in centre in the heart of our local Essex community. We need to start by funding qualified specialist mental health counsellors, that can supplement the already stretched NHS mental health teams. Our aim is to assist in reducing the counselling services waiting list time for young people.

As we tiptoe our way out of a year of restrictions, we have no clear idea of the extent of damage  that has had on youngsters mental health. A year for children and young adults feels significantly longer than for a mature adult.

Please support my charity by donating toward our goal

Thankyou
