Welcome to The Charitable Gamers 2021 fundraising page!
We are back for another year of awesome fundraisers and we've got some pretty awesome tricks up our sleeves this year as well. We are currently working on hosting an insane 6 separate events planned. 3 of which being events we've never even tried before! (one event being so special, it's having it's own dedicated fundraiser for a very special charity indeed!)
However, before we tell you all about the events we have planned this year. Allow us to introduce the charity of choice for this year, The Ambulance Staff Charity!
We are currently living through a major historical event that will be remembered for years to come, a event so major that the world as we know it will change forever. This pandemic is relentless, a near silent killer. By the time you have the symptoms, it's too late.
Luckily, our amazing NHS is doing everything it can to help give COVID the boot and save as many lives as possible. However, it can't do it without you. You're most likely sat at home right now asking ''what can i do to help?''. The main thing you can do is stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives. However, if you want to do more than that the please consider supporting The Ambulance Staff Charity.
Who are The Ambulance Staff Charity?
TASC, The Ambulance Staff charity is the leading UK charity working to support current and retired Ambulance Services personnel and their families, regardless of role, to enhance their mental and physical well-being during times of need. We offer timely, tailored, often multi-stranded, support to individuals and families, helping them to improve their circumstances. Increasingly, people are turning to us for help with multiple and complex needs; in 2018 the average number of hours of support we gave to each beneficiary was 9.8 hours.

With that out of the way, lets get onto what we've got planned for the year shall we? For the sake of making life easier for you all, we shall bullet point each event in order of soonest - latest on our event calendar.
- IRacing's Nurburgring 24 Hour - What better way to start off the fundraising campaign than trying to survive 24 hours at the green hell. A circuit infamous for making many professional racing drivers look like complete amateurs.
Event Info: April 24th . Will be broadcast live on Twitch.
- Going The Distance - To our very limited knowledge, there's been no official documentation of anyone attempting to set a distance record over 24 hours on Euro Truck Simulator 2. Well, that's about to change. We plan to drive for 24 hours non-stop all over the beautiful Promods map in ETS2 for 24 hours to cover as much distance as we possibly can. No rest stops, no sightseeing. Just non-stop driving for 24 hours. Sounds simple, doesn't it? Well, this will be a case of easier said than done.
Event Info: May 22nd @ 17:00 BST, Start location will be Dover Sea Port. All speed limits to be obeyed, this will take place in a public server. This will be live broadcasted: https://www.twitch.tv/charitablegamers16
- Chasing Midnight - Inspired by a episode of Top Gear we watched many years ago, we found ourselves asking a question. Can the slowest car in Will's ''shitbox fleet'' travel all the way from the most easterly point in England, right the way to the most westerly point in England overnight, on the shortest night of the year? Well, we are going to find out. Will plans to attempt this mammoth task later this year, to answer the question nobody's been asking.
Event Info: June 19th @ 21:16, must be there by June 20th @ 04:31 or runs dead. All road laws to be obeyed, we will broadcast as much of this event as mobile coverage allowed. The entirety of the run will be recorded and uploaded to Youtube in time-lapse form. A GPS tracker will be setup on the day of the event so you can keep track of our location through the Waze app.
- 24S - The Grand Tour Returns
That's right, our iconic 24-hour convoy is back for another run in 2021! Info on it is scarce right now. However, we are going back to basics this time and making it the usual mess it tends to be. Convoy control flying off cliffs, events going down the wrong side of the road and more is coming back to play this year. Watch this space!
