At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Like many others, dementia is close to home. I lost my dear Grandma to the debilitating illness back in 2018 and saw the slow deterioration of her mental and physical well-being. However I also saw first hand how much an Alzheimer’s society and charities alike can do for people like Grandma. I’m determined to raise money for this cause because it’s not just about the cure, it’s about the support for the people already suffering.

Their mission statement: “Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.”

It's the charity I've supported previously and will continue to support. This is a challenge that I've wanted to conquer for many years, and I've been lucky enough to be invited to represent such a brilliant charity.

Any donation to my cause will be greatly appreciated and I hope that I will see your face as I struggle along the way.

Lots of love, Conor
