Ste's marathon fundraising page!

London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
NOTE: Any cash donations received I've paid the equivalent amount from my own bank account and credited the donor. Can check through donation history for proof :)
I volunteered to fill a spare place at the London Marathon on behalf of my employer & their charity partner Alzheimer's Society. I'm a very casual runner, beginning my running journey a few years ago, starting with Parkruns, then 10ks, then in 2022 I did the Great North Run. A full marathon is the next step, so why not the biggest of them all?!
I'm not personally affected by this awful disease but I know some of my friends & colleagues whose relatives having this form of dementia. Hopefully my efforts will help towards the support of those with Alzheimer's to live well.
I feel uncomfortable asking for donations during a cost of living crisis but I'll give it my best go to raise as much as I can. Every donation is appreciated and will count towards this fantastic cause. Every £10 can fund a Dementia advisor on the society's support line for those affected with dementia.
