Story
I'm running 26.2 miles in the London Marathon 2026 to support Alzheimer’s Society and everyone affected by dementia.
Alzheimer’s disease is a physical illness that damages the brain, leading to dementia—a condition that affects memory, thinking, and daily life. It’s the most common cause of dementia, and sadly, there is no cure. However, treatments can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
One in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia. It devastates lives—but together, we can change that. By supporting Alzheimer’s Society, we’re funding vital care, pushing for change, and investing in groundbreaking research to transform the future.
Your donation can make a real difference:
- £6 could fund a call to a dementia adviser, offering support when it’s needed most.
- £15 could produce 12 dementia guides to help people understand the condition and find support.
- £20 could fund 117 visits to Talking Point, Alzheimer’s Society’s online community where people share experiences and feel less alone.
Thank you for helping build a better future for those living with dementia.
