For the team at The Clarence Social Christmas is the time that we can really make the most of that word Social but it doesn’t just apply to our 4 walls but to the community beyond. For those in difficulty Christmas is a time of added stress for so many reasons . We are working with the amazing P3 charity to create an emergency fund that can be used for such things as electricity and gas .
P3 is a charity and social enterprise, who work with individuals and communities delivering services for socially excluded and vulnerable people. P3 support them to unlock their potential, open up new possibilities and to enable them to change their lives and be a part of their community. In Gloucestershire, P3’s services support people with housing related issues, from people at risk of eviction and in temporary accommodation to people who are street homeless.
During the winter months, many people who access our services struggle to afford their energy bills, this is due to low incomes and periods without any income at all.
Together with P3 we are working to raise money for an emergency winter fuel fund for the families and individuals that P3 support across the county so they don’t have to worry about the cost of their fuel bill and can keep their accommodation warm.
