Story

Hi All!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Over the 4th, 5th and 6th of July, I will be attempting to complete 3 mountain stages of the 2022 Tour de France route in aid of Cancer Research UK. The 3 stages consist of 287 miles of riding and 37,096 feet of climbing (the equivalent of the combined height of Mount Everest, Mount Snowdon and Ben Nevis!!).

I'll be following the route for stages 10, 11 and 12 of the 2022 Tour de France, a week before the pro's take to the same roads. For those familiar with the Tour, stage 11 features the monster climb of the Col du Galibier and stage 12 finishes up the iconic Alpe D'Huez, after over 100 miles of cycling.

This challenge will be done in loving memory of close friends and family who we have sadly lost to Cancer over recent years and all fundraising proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research UK. Following an amazing initial response and having nearly reached the initial fundraising target of £600, I have now raised the target to £1000. In addition to this, my employer will also match every £1 raised up to £500! Any support that you would be able to give would be greatly appreciated!
