Hey everyone! 

We're running in the Great City Race on Monday 24th July for UpRising. We've got a 10 day training window and bags of enthusiasm. It's fair to say we're a mixed ability team so we're half winging it (Emma especially) and half semi fit to smash it but basically this is a splendid chance to raise some cashiola for a great youth charity called UpRising and get running about the city.

About UpRising

UpRising is a youth leadership charity which works with diverse young people, aged 8-25, from disadvantaged communities to reach their potential through developing their leadership skills, their knowledge of structures of power, opening up networks and delivering innovative youth social action and employability programmes. UpRising is committed to challenging social mobility and through our work we want to create a new generation of socially conscious leaders and young people, who will break the cycle of unrepresentative power and go on to trailblaze in their communities and workplaces. Our programmes equip participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to to find new opportunities, raise aspirations, enhance employability, fulfil their leadership potential and strengthen their communities through social action. 

We want to get to the big £500 mark for this 5km so we would be super grateful if you could help us out.
