2020 - Here is to another swimming challenge! 

This year Team Alam has acquired a new member! Michael will be joining me and Maria in our efforts to raise money for two amazing cancer charities. Maria and I have picked once again our favourite distance of 2.5k each (100 lengths) and Michael will make his debut with 400m (16 lengths) on Saturday 14th of March to support Swimathon and its great cause. 

Our family had been touched by cancer far too many times and helping these two great charities is a great honour. 

Please help us raise as much money as possible. Cancer is a horrid coward thing and with the help of fantastic teams from Cancer Research, cancer might become something that no one has to be scared of any more.

Over 3 weeks in March, over 21,000 swimmers will be heading down to over 600 pools across the UK to raise money for our two amazing charity partners.

Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity is dedicated to saving lives through funding research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Cancer Research UK are the only charity fighting over 200 cancer types but don't receive any government funding for their work, so their progress is all thanks to the support of people like you.

Marie Curie provides expert care, guidance and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Around 2,100 Marie Curie Nurses work day and night, in people’s homes all over the UK, providing hands-on care to people when they need it most.
