We provide air ambulance and critical care across Bristol, B&NES, North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire and surrounding areas. On average we attend 5 incidents every day. As a charity we need to raise £4m each year to keep flying. Your Charity, Saving Lives together

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit thisJustGiving page.

On Easter Monday 2012, my son Ali was involved in a horrible accident - he was dragged in to the propellor of a narrow boat and sustained terrible injuries to both legs. The Great Western Air Ambulance service responded to our distress calls and provided amazing care and support in highly traumatic circumstances. Sophie and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Pete Sadler and his team - without them, it is unlikely that Ali would be with us today.

The Great Western Air Ambulance requires well over a million a year to function and relies entirely on charitable donations - our government doesn't even provide any fuel subidies.....

Paul, Giles, Peter and Richard have very kindly agreed to run with me - this is a big ask as I know their trainers are as dusty as mine. We would be very grateful for any support you can give us - every penny really does count.

Thanks so much.
