London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·

Rainbow Trust Children's Charity is our Charity of the Year for 2018/19.

Story

Four of us will be running the London marathon on Sunday 28th
April and hopefully raising money for our Charity of the Year partner, Rainbow Trust, in the process.

Our four man team is…mixed… in ability:

  • Andy Lynam – the lad running in skinny jeans and
    an XS CrossFit branded vest
  • Rory Cole – chasing his hairline all the way to
    the finish line
  • Paul Shears – much quieter about the morals of veganism given it's now more convenient to eat fish, dairy and eggs to run this far
  • Steve Edery – 3-time marathoner though
apparently completed in more “sprightly” days

We are extremely grateful to anyone who would like to
sponsor us.

Many thanks,

Andy, Rory, Shears & Steve

Rainbow Trust enables families who have a child with a life-threatening illness to make the most of their time together; providing expert practical and emotional support, where it is needed, for as long as it is needed; from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.Rainbow Trust pairs each family with a dedicated Family Support Worker who becomes a trusted and constant person in family life, supporting in the home, at hospital and in the community.Their work is almost entirely self-funded, so it is only with the help of supporters like yourselves, that they are able to raise the funds to care for more families needing support.£23 pays for an hour of support, providing enough time to entertain a seriously ill child so their parents can have a break.£161 pays for a day's visit from a Family Support Worker which allows parents to leave the house or simply sleep.£552 pays for an hour of bereavement support for six months for a family from an expert Family Support Worker.
