The Island is a wonderful charity which changes the lives of young people in the York area. Having been a volunteer mentor for the Island I have now roped in the support of my family to raise money to support the recruitment of more volunteer mentors as well as supporting the many other great ways that the Island helps children in the City. 

As anyone who knows me will know - I am not a runner, so to do this is a real challenge for me. My husband Jamie and daughter Jess are running in this event too, to support me and to help raise as much money as possible for the Island. Please donate if you can - every penny helps to change the lives for more children and young people for the better.
