I am fortunate enough to work for a fantastic company that allows us to support charities that are close to our hearts and matches donations to those charities. 

Cancer is something that unfortunately has hit most families in some shape or form. My own father died of Cancer back in 2008. While he was 73 and lived a very full and happy life, in my eyes, he was still way too young to die and I still miss him very much, even though it's 13 years on.  No matter what age someone is, they are too young to die from cancer! 

I was really fortunate to have daddy in my life for so long but many people aren't that fortunate and lose close family, friends, partners & colleagues way too soon.  Those that are lucky enough to survive, also go through torture, losing their hair, eyebrows, being so sick, losing their sense of taste in some instances or being turned off certain foods, not to mention the emotional turmoil, it's a lot to deal with.

This year, as a proud Mayo woman, I am doing a hike of Croagh Patrick to raise funds for this extremely worthy cause and would love if people would like to get involved in the hike (I promise some banter on the day) but also support by donating to this worthy cause for Breakthrough Cancer Research. Please support in any way you can, I know people are getting asked to donate to so many different causes so it's hard to support everything but honestly every fiver counts so any donation big or small is really appreciated, so if you are able to give anything I would be so delighted.
