Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday 8th January 2022, my son Dylan should be celebrating his 10th birthday. Sadly, due to a brain tumour, he isn't here.

So in his memory, and as a thank you for the care he received there, I will walk from our home to Stoke Mandeville Hospital and back to deliver a tray of Krispy Kreme original glazed doughnuts to the team on ward 3, the children's ward.

These were Dylans favourite doughnuts.

I am also walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the whole of January.

I have chosen to support Brain tumour research as they have a 'sponsor a day' campaign whereby if you raise £2740 in a year, you can sponsor a day's brain tumour research.

I have already sponsored Dylan's 9th birthday and I am now working towards sponsoring his 10th.

My long term aim is to sponsor all the birthdays Dylan will never get to celebrate to help ensure other children can celebrate more birthdays than he did.
