This Ramadan, we are renewing our efforts to provide food packs for 200 families in the Duarabazar province, Bangladesh. The population of Duarabazar is 157,240, with many families in the community struggling to meet their basic food needs.

Masha'Allah last year we helped more then 160 families in Bangladesh and secured food for them for the blessed month and the celebration of Eid.

The cost of a single food package per family of five (for a month) costs only £25 . The food pack consists of rice 15kgs, oil 2L, onions
3kgs, potatoes 5kgs, lentils 3kgs, chickpeas 1kgs, chilli powder 500g, turmeric powder 500g, salt 1kg, sugar 1kg and dates 1kg.

Allah (SWT) says in the Glorious Quran :

"And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, orphans and the captive saying "We feed you only for the sake of Allah
(SWT). We wish not from you reward or gratitude" (Surah Insan, Ayah 8-9)

Allah also reminds us that:

“Never will you attain righteousness until you spend (in the
way of Allah) from that which you love. And whatever you spend, indeed, Allah is knowing of it.” (Surah Al-Imran, Ayah 92)

 Let us make it a very special Eid for the people who are constantly deprived of their basic needs.
