The Street Child Games · 10 March 2016 to 23 March 2016 ·
Street Child United are an inspirational charity - through their work, partnerships and campaigning they have been able to change the present and future for street children around the world.
In 2014 they organised the street child world cup in Brazil which used sport to make street children be seen as people. In doing so they have turned these children from a problem that countries were sweeping away in to national heroes.
Laws have been changed, voices heard and a big difference made - however there is still much to do.
In 2016 Street Child United return to Brazil for the first ever Street Child Games - directly before the Olympics.
Louise and Jim from Manifesto are heading to Brazil to help the charity make sure the campaigning and communications have as much impact as possible in every country that is represented.
As part of this we're raising as much money as possible to help make sure Street Child United can continue doing their incredible work.
We're hoping to raise enough to cover the cost of getting 3 of the street child Olympians to Rio. This can be difficult as they rarely have birth certificates or passports and so Street Child United's in country partners work tirelessly to make it happen.
