Nearly 6 years ago we, the family and friends of Harry Mootoosamy, lost him to pancreatic cancer. He was 39 years old, a young Dad and husband taken away far too soon.
In his honour, The Harry-Krish Mootoosamy Foundation was launched, raising money for two key aims:
- providing music therapy for seriously ill children
- raising awareness of, and helping to fight, the devastating effects of pancreatic cancer
Harry was an incredible father, husband, brother, son and friend to many. He was a man of many talents and loved by all who knew him. Unfortunately, he was also a passionate Liverpool fan and spent far too much time talking about a certain football match that took place in Instanbul in May 2005. Apparently it was the Champions League final or something.
15 years on from that game, in memory of Harry and to raise money for the Foundation set up in his name, 29 of his friends and family will be undertaking a virtual run from London to Istanbul between 16th May and 31st July 2020. Together, we will be running over a period of ten weeks to achieve a massive total of 1,881 miles.
In their heart of hearts nobody really likes running, and this is a very, very long way. So, please, make it a little bit easier as we pound the roads and footpaths and give whatever you're able to support a brilliant cause.
Thank you!
