Story

General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income.

That's why Team Mourant in Guernsey has decided to take part in the 2.6 Challenge, a massive fundraising campaign taking place on Sunday 26 April – when the 40th London Marathon would have taken place. We have chosen to raise money for the Guernsey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA).

We will be taking part in an array of individual, team and family events number of activities based around the numbers 2.6 or 26.  We hope that you will give generously both for our teams efforts and in aid of GSPCA who care for sick, lost, aged and unwanted animals in Guernsey.  Help us make a difference and contribute to their Coronavirus Crisis Appeal.

With more than 140 years of caring for animals in Guernsey, the GSPCA is growing to meet the demands of the modern world with enthusiasm, optimism and energy. The role now, as in those early days, of preventing cruelty and promoting kindness to animals, through education, is as strong as ever.
