Run to Remember Challenge · 1 December 2013

Our aim is to provide opportunities for the future to children who have lost a close family member through violent crimes. We look at providing grants or services to aid learning and employment prospects.

Story

Team Northumbria is made up of police officers, police staff and friends from Northumbria Police.

We have decided to take part in the PC Nicola Hughes Run to Remember Challenge to raise funds for three very worthy causes which were chosen by her family as each organisation helped them at the time of Nicola's untimely and tragic death.  The charities are: Care of Police Survivors (COPS), Victim Support and Police Benevolent Fund.

The challenge is to run two miles per day for 125 days starting on Sunday 1 December 2013 until Friday 4 April 2014.

The team consists of experienced runners together with novices so running 2 miles per day for some will be easy but for others a challenge.  The team members are:-

Alison Brown, Craig Tomlinson, Roly Green, Sam Muhsin, Paul Woods, Steve Carter, Mark Iveson, Paul Burnett, Ivan Hart, Leesa Dowell, Sally Youden, Carly Zawodzinski, Steve Prested, Natalie Robson, Sarah Hall, Lynne Thompson, Gareth Hope, Scott Rennison, Andy Baillie, Nikki Youden, Paul Lisle, Julian Mason, Sara Stewart, Norma Borrowdale, Lisa Matthews, Shannan Dowell, Hannah Dowell, Nicky McDonnell, Neil Swainston, Dianne Hogg, Wendy Douglas, Claire Chapman, Lora Smiles, Nicola McAllister, Kim Scott, Chris Anderson, David Ailano, Claire O’Neill, Tracey McNay, Sarah Peto, Annie Lees.

Please give generously as all donations will be sent directly to the PC Nicola Hughes Memorial Fund.
