Tough Mudder Classic London South 2019 (Weekend 2) · 21 September 2019 to 22 September 2019 ·

As guardians of the Amazon, the most iconic forest on the planet, we bring together the power of science and technology, traditional knowledge of local peoples, and the support of everyday people to create innovative conservation solutions that balance the needs of people and nature.

Story

And we're back!  Vish has just caught his breath from the last run a year ago, and Phil has finally put his top back on, much to the female spectators' relief. James is taking part while completing his 5th Masters as part-time academic, full-time Burberry model, while Zak returns from the Island as the crowning champion, the first contestant ever to couple up with Caroline Flack. The gang is back.

On 22nd September, all four of us will be taking part in the Tough Mudder race just south of London. The whole route is 10 miles long, with several obstacles along the way, getting us bruised, wet and muddy. Spurred on by the recent successes of his cousin, Ed Sheeran, Murphs will be completing the whole course while listening to Eminem's Lose Yourself on loop, while Zak battles with his inner obstacle; an inflated ego. Vish is looking forward to the obstacle Kiss of Mud 2.0, possibly his first kiss since 2012. Phil will no doubt be disgusted by the water quality at the water obstacles, and will be adding chlorine to each of them.

This year we will be raising money for the Amazon Conservation Association. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about the masses of trees that have been ablaze over the last weeks, but ACA actively seek to prevent further damage and protect indigenous tribes from the perils of forest fires. See below an extract from the association's site:

"Since [establishment in 1999], the organization has grown to protect over 4 million acres of rainforest, establish Peru's first conservation concession, host thousands of scientists and tourists at our three premier biological stations, empower indigenous communities to develop forest-friendly livelihoods, and so much more."

We appreciate any donations, whatever the amount!

Thanks,

Team Rango
