LOROS Hospice is a local charity delivering free care and support to over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland each year. Our free high-quality, compassionate services are tailored to be special and unique to each terminally ill patient, their family and carers.

Story

I am going to run the Leicestershire Half Marathon with four of my friends from school.

We are five Upper Sixth students from Ratcliffe College, and we want to help out a local charity as a 'thank you' for all the great work it does. We all love a physical and mental challege and have been running together for the past year, where we train and compete. The Half Marathon is the next step as we are now 17, and we look forward to doing it for a reason and raising money in the process.

LOROS provides care and support to people of ages 18 and above within Leicestershire and Rutland. The medical and social support they provide enables the patient to live a normal life for as long as possible. The work they do also extends to the patients familys; helping them cope and making good use of limited life left with the patient.

Any charity that can put a smile on a face and potentially extend their life or quality of their life definatly deservers support, so that they can continue to help and support the people of leicestershire and Rutland.
