Coronavirus has already taken the lives of thousands - it shouldn't destroy the future of hundreds of young people. Together, we can make sure that homelessness is never the answer.

Story

Over the next few weeks, SBL's own Mike Clark, Paul Jenkins, Helen Williams, Laurie Kelly, Rebecca Stables & Karen Firth will be splitting into teams to each tackle the SASH: Lap of Yorkshire Challenge - that's 450 miles!

Mike & Paul will be virtually teaming up and putting on their bike helmets to cycle the 450 miles, while Team CS (Helen, Laurie, Rebecca & Karen) will be walking the 450 miles.

The charity our SBL Teams are fundraising for in this challenge is SASH.

Nearly half of the young people who come to SASH facing homelessness, do so because of family breakdown. Right now, there are young people in our community living in unstable family circumstances, surrounded by abuse - all they have to look forward to once lockdown is lifted, is the dread of being kicked out of their family home or making the impossible decision to flee a toxic environment. Our expert support workers are predicting a rise in the need for our services after lockdown is lifted. We want these young people know that there is hope and a better life after lockdown. With your help, we can make sure that they have safe home and a bright future.
