We all met Lucy in 2005 at Newcastle University and, united by our mutual love of tea and cake (not running!), continued to be friends ever since. She was a true friend and an inspiration to us all. 

On 30th December 2020, Lucy suddenly became ill and died from meningitis. She was 33. 

We will be running the GNR in September 2023, in the city where we first knew and loved her, to remember Lucy and to raise money to defeat this terrible disease which took our friend. 

We have so many memories of Lucy and will be laughing and crying our way around all 13.1 of those GNR miles.
