Three Peaks Challenge · 15 May 2015

Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. We provide information and support to patients and their families and help myeloma patients live longer, with a better quality of life by accelerating the discovery, development of and access to new treatments.

Story

Thank you very much for visiting our JustGiving page. We are a group of 20 colleagues and friends from Bridgepoint hoping to complete the Three Peaks Challenge and raise some much needed funds for a very good cause.

The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing and descending the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales as quickly as possible. This will equate to hiking 42km with a total ascent of 9,800 feet.

We will be doing this in memory of Jan Hester who Bridgepoint lost last year to a long battle with cancer. Jan remained cheerful and steadfast throughout an incredibly difficult period and provided a lesson in resilience to us all. We are therefore hoping to raise some funds for Myeloma UK which was Jan's chosen charity.

Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK focussed on providing help and support to people with Myeloma, a rare form of cancer. Myeloma UK also fund clinical research into Myeloma aimed at improving treatment methods and the prognosis for those affected.
