Update!

TeamWCA are celebrating completing the 100 mile Prudential RideLondon event that took place on Sunday 4th August.

All 10 riders completed the gruelling course throughout the day and you can view photos of the action in the photo library below.

The Team

The concept of TeamWCA all started at a conference in Shanghai, where WCA members and WCA staff discussed their love of cycling and that it would be great if they could all ride together one day.

Not to let an idea get the better of us – we decided into looking at a race where we could enter a team and Chris (WCA Middle East) said that he had ridden the Prudential RideLondon in 2018.

After research and discussions among the team the Prudential RideLondon was decided on, and after committing a team of 10 riders, we decided to ride the race on behalf of the international charity War Child.

The Ride

A true legacy of the 2012 London Olympic Games, the Prudential RideLondon was developed by the Mayor of London and his agencies in 2013, and the seventh edition will take place over the weekend of 3-4 August 2019.

There is no other closed-road event like it that combines the fun and accessible element of a free family ride in central London with the excitement of watching the world’s best professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic and Prudential RideLondon Classique.

TeamWCA will ride the professional cyclists 100 mile route on Sunday 4 August through London and the Surrey hills and to capture it all, the best action from the weekend is broadcast live on TV in the UK and internationally, and is seen by an audience of millions.

The Charity

As an international organisation and a family of member companies from every corner of the world, we are all appalled by the horrendous suffering of children innocently caught up in conflicts and war zones. Therefore, as a group we want to make a difference and chose War Child as our nominated charity.

Less than 3% of humanitarian aid is spent on child protection in conflict-affected regions. War Child is striving for a world in which no child's life is torn apart by war. They protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children.

By making a donation, you will be making a difference to thousands of children whose lives have been turned upside-down by conflict. You’ll be helping them receive the care and support they need to overcome the traumas they’ve suffered and you’ll be helping to transform their futures for the better.
