thanks for taking the time out to visit our fundraising page, you are just a few short clicks away from doing a very good deed indeed!

As you've made it this far you probably know a fair bit about what this is all about.
But just to recap:

On Saturday 12th September Team 6 Peaks (David, Kris, Marc, Nick and Menace) plus notable others will be attempting to complete the gruelling 3 Peaks 24hour Challenge!!

The challenge is to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon (the highest peaks in their respective countries) inside, you guessed it...24hours!!

That involves covering 25 miles on foot! Climbing 3500 vertical metres and driving the 450 miles that separates the three mountains.

WHY???

To raise money for the 4aJ Foundation Clean Water Expedition to Nicaragua, in conjunction with Raleigh International ofcourse.

EXPLAIN!!

The 4aj Foundation does much good work to raise money and awareness for various projects and charities that help those affected by cancer. Next year the foundation is going one better undertaking expedition to source, access and channel a fresh, permanant water supply to the village of Achuapa, Nicaragua.

Achuapa has an alarmingly high cancer rate as the village's fresh water supply was contaminated by Hurricane Mitch in 1998. Since then the village's inhabitants have had to rely on a water supply contaminated by toxic pesticides from local agriculture.

We need to raise £34,000 to pay for the equipment and  apparatus required for the work plus transport and basic accomodation for the 17 days we will spend in Nicaragua.

So as you can see, a very worthy cause and be assured the 3 peaks participants will suffer greatly in parting you from your hard-earned cash.
