The team at the Royal London Adult Critical Care Unit has looked after 700 critically ill Covid-19 patients over the past year. And this was on top of all our other patients who we normally look after. It's safe to say that it has been a tough year and we thank many of you who have contributed to looking after our welfare. This year a small group of us are taking on London Landmarks Half-Marathon on the 1st of August. This is to raise further funds to improve the comfort and well-being of our patients, their families, and staff, in collaboration with Barts Charity. 

The money we raise will go towards funding equipment to improve communication between families and their loved ones on the ICU, as well as providing entertainment for the patients who are awake and receiving treatment. These will improve patient orientation and comfort. Some of the funds will also go towards improving staff facilities, education and comfort. 

Take a look at our picture gallery to get to know us better; hopefully it will inspire you to give a donation. However big or little, we can assure you it will be put to great use. Last year we held cake sales, quiz nights and other fund-raising events prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are hoping to push these up to our target.
