Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page for WaterAid!
As a team we decided to get together this year to complete a Tough Mudder Challenge and raise money for charity... The world then came to a bit of a standstill - everything was put on hold for the time being. In these times of people being isolated, working from home and generally not seeing many other human beings we thought we would come up with a good way to connect our team, keep up with the training (although the Tough Mudder has now been postponed till next year), get fitter, support each other and show solidarity through these uncertain times.
And so it was decided we would take part in a 'Socially Distanced 5km'.
We have picked a date, and we all plan to undertake the run/walk/crawl (some of us haven't been fro a run since leaving school!) at our different chosen locations but together in spirit! :)
Those of us taking part are: James Packer, Gemma French, Claire Collings, Aisa Irvine, Ryan Harris, Aran Leaf, Andy Selman, Dan Watson, Jon Walton, Leila Froud and Fede Monte.
We are running for different charities - you can pick which you donate to.
Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good. With clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene, children are born healthier. They get the chance to go to school and grow up to become adults. Women and men get to earn a living. Whole communities start to thrive. It sounds normal and it should be.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
