Team Andy Lincoln is raising money for Barnardo's
In memory of Lisa Williams
Story
In 2017, Lisa, our Team Andy Lincoln leader, was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. She fought this terrible disease with everything she had but sadly, on Tuesday 3rd April 2018 Lisa passed away.
In 2015 Lisa Williams created Team Andy Lincoln with 4 other fans who had the idea to raise money for Andrew's charity as a way to honour him by helping others. Throughout the years, Andrew has put so much passion, love, and energy into his brilliant acting and philanthropic endeavors. This was an amazing inspiration to the group. Their original goal was $10k, and they quickly realised after this first year that this endeavor was getting bigger and bigger. People continued to want to give and support the cause in some way, so Team Andy Lincoln continued on, with the energetic leadership and action of Lisa. In 3 years she managed to raise just over $35k. Every time Lisa reached her goal she upped it. The current goal is $75k so we need to raise $40k
Lisa has been and always will be an inspiration. So in her memory we aim to reach her target. All the money that Lisa raised went directly to Barnardo’s, an international UK-based charity for whom Andrew not only supports but also serves as an ambassador. Barnardo’s works to transform the lives of UK’s most vulnerable children, standing up for them and helping to bring out their best. Barnardo’s works with child victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and human trafficking, as well as, providing fostering/adoption services regardless of their circumstances, gender, race, or disability.
This is and always will be Lisa's Legacy. Team Andy Lincoln will live on for Lisa.
