Story

Hello! Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We're here with an amazing opportunity to support our NHS heroes. We all know that the NHS has been under immense pressure over the past couple of years, and they have been working tirelessly to keep us all safe and healthy. Now it's our turn to give back!

Donate to the NHS Trust and in return, our Aston University team of brave souls will take on the Ultimate Crane Zip Wire Challenge at the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. Picture this - a crane towering over 160 ft in height, a 220 metre wire, with speeds of up to 35 mph - that's the same as 50 floors... or 16 buses... It's not for the faint-hearted, but it's all for a great cause!

Your donation will make a real difference to the lives of our NHS staff and patients. So let's do this together and show our appreciation for all they do. Please donate now and watch our team take on the crane zip wire challenge with pride... and trepidation!

The event will take place on the 1st July 2023 outside the newly built Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.

The cause:

They work to add value to the patient experience in Sandwell and West Birmingham. In partnership with a range of community stakeholders, they raise vital funds to ensure the best clinical and patient service provision possible for children and adults alike.

The mission: To enhance the experience of all people using their services including staff, patients and their families. They will do this by providing additional facilities and supporting innovative projects that create a comfortable and secure environment.

About the charity

We support Sandwell, City and Rowley Regis Hospitals as well specialist services such as the Birmingham Midland Eye Centre and the Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Centre. The money you raise is used to enhance existing service provision to provide a first class experience for our patients.
