24 Hour Golf · 3 July 2015

The SAFE Foundation supports locally led programmes overseas that help people out of poverty. It helps people take control of their own development. We also work in the UK encouraging people to develop skills that help them understand their place in the world.

Story

Welcome, and thanks for visiting our Team BPF fundraising page.

Golf was once described as “A good walk spoiled”.

In the aid of raising much needed funds for our chosen Charity The Safe Foundation, team BPF will be putting this to the test over the course of 24 hours. The location of the event will be Craigie Hill Golf Club set in beautiful Perthshire.

Our challenge will start at 7am on Friday 3rd July and we will be playing golf continuously for 24 hours, we will be walking the course with the aim of completing as many rounds as possible during daylight and during the dark hours we will be playing with ‘Glow in the Dark’ golf balls.

With 12 players averaging a minimum of six rounds we estimate the following statistics

6480 golf shots

650 three putts

216 miles walked or crawled

150 mulligans

100’s of lost golf balls

As many blisters

In return we aim to raise £5,000 for our chosen charity, The Safe Foundation supports locally-led, people centred projects responding to hardship issues, increasing access to basic rights like education, safe water and healthcare in the developing world and promotes socially responsible lifestyles in our own communities.

Your generous support would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks, Team BPF
