We've decided to do something amazing this year and taking on #challenge15 to raise money for Sands.  We are going to be "running" the Boston #ParkRun each week for the next 5 weeks. We will also attempt to clock up 15miles each week too. Now when we say "running" really it's much more likely to be Jim doing the running and Carolyn "plodding" behind!  But either way, we'll be doing our bit to make a difference this January.

Most of you know that James has an older brother Matt, but he also has an older sister too, Rebecca, but she sadly died before James was born.  We are doing this in her memory and for all the thousands of other babies that die each year in the UK. Sands believes with further research more babies' lives could be saved.  Sands continues to improve the bereavement care families receive when a baby dies, and so importantly provides vital support when the worst happens.

By taking part in #challenge15  and with your help we are hoping to raise £150 -

• £150 could provide 10 x Family Support Packs to bereaved
  parents in need of information and advice.
• £150 could pay for two health professionals to attend one of
  Sands Improving Bereavement Care workshops and enable them to give supportive,
  empathetic and sensitive care to bereaved parents.
• £150 could also provide Memory Boxes to 7 x bereaved
  families - these boxes help parents to create special memories and collect precious keepsakes of their baby.
