Lymphoma Action Virtual Santa Run · 5 December 2020 to 6 December 2020 ·
Our beautiful daughter Gracie wanted to do something to raise money for Lymphoma to show her daddy how much he means to her and so we are going to start with a 5k run as part of the Lymphoma Action virtual santa race on Sunday 6th December and more events to follow, as well as another mountain climb next year.
My husband and daddy to our two beautiful children is only 34 years old, and was diagnosed just before the 1st lockdown with a rare form of T cell lymphoma (stage 4) known as ALCL. He went into remission in Sept and has unfortunately relapsed after two months. He will have to endure more treatment and has a huge journey ahead of him, but we know he will get through it. He is the most inspirational man we know. He is our hero. We want to raise money and help support this amazing charity in saving the lives of all that have to endure this awful disease.
Lymphoma Action is the UK’s only charity dedicated to lymphoma, the fifth most common cancer. We’ve been providing in-depth, expert information and wide-ranging support for over 30 years, helping thousands of people affected by lymphoma. Our work drives improvements in the diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare of lymphoma. We’re here for everyone affected by lymphoma. https://lymphoma-action.org.uk/
Your donation could help a person who may be feeling scared and worried to receive the help, support and information they need when they most need it. Together we can make sure no on faces lymphoma alone.
£5 could help us ensure that the latest expert lymphoma information is immediately available to anyone who visits our website.
£10 could help us send out award winning information booklets to newly diagnosed patients to give them a better understanding of their disease and of the support available.
£20 could help pay for an hour of dedicated helpline support, enabling our experienced team to be there for patients, carers and anyone affected by lymphoma.
£40 could help fund a dedicated workshop to empower people affected by lymphoma to manage day-to-day and live well beyond their cancer.
£70 could enable us to identify, research and add a new clinical trial to our online Lymphoma TrialsLink database, to help ensure that everyone eligible for a life-saving clinical trial is given access to one.
£75 could help pay for a nurse to attend a lymphoma specific study day so they can keep up-to-date with all aspects of lymphoma treatment and provide the best possible care for their patients.
£100 could help us campaign to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of lymphoma, encouraging earlier diagnosis and raising the profile of the disease.
