Swimathon 2019 · 29 March 2019 to 31 March 2019 ·

Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie are calling on the nation to get down to the pool for Swimathon 2019 - thousands of swimmers, two great causes, one big charity challenge.

Story

Ben, Florence and Charlotte want to raise some money for these deserving UK charities both for the challenge and to do something to support their cousin Izzy who has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia, a disease that both charities we are fund raising for are fighting.

We are raising money for two wonderful UK charities by doing Swimathon at Stradbroke pool on 30 March 2019. Ben is doing the 5k non stop swim and the twins are taking on the 5k relay challenge between them. 10k in a 20m pool is tough physically and mentally but nothing compared to what Izzy and her family are going through.

Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity is dedicated to saving lives through research. They don’t receive any government funding for their work, so their progress is all thanks to the support of people like you.

Marie Curie provides expert care, guidance and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Around 2,100 Marie Curie Nurses work day and night, in people’s homes all over the UK, providing hands-on care to people when they need it most.
