Story
Thanks very much to everyone who has taken the time to visit this page.
Ted McKenna, a colleague of brother David Cadogan, has organised a number of relay teams at Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) to take part in the Cork City Marathon on 4th June in memory of my late father Pat(Paddy), who tragically passed away on 11th June 2016. Dad had worked for many years at CIT.
This effort has mushroomed into a group of about thirty people, made up of current and retired colleagues in CIT and their families, as well as Natasha Callinan (St. John's Central College), our own family and friends who knew Dad.
Dad had raised monies over a number of years for the Cork Cancer Research Centre (CCRC) through running various marathons, including his final trio in Boston, Cork and Dublin in 2008, and Ted kindly proposed that Breakthrough Cancer Research, the charity fundraising arm of CCRC, would be the beneficiary of the fundraising efforts by TEAM CADOGAN.
As Dad used to say - all donations will be gratefully acknowledged and received!
All we need to do now is to get some more training in at some point before the marathon on 4th June.
