At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

My sisters and I, and a few of our lovely friends (we roped Titch, Gill and Zuzz too!) have decided to walk 100km in memory of our darling mum and at the same time raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.

Mum died of Alzheimer's at the age of 63. It has been a tough few years for all of our family but particularly for my mum, who was so courageous and brave right till the end.

We want to raise money and awareness of this cruel disease to help prevent, slow down and eventually stop dementia in its tracks.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
