Story

Cycle4Sepsis is back for its 8th year and Team Daniel Hallam is supporting them in their mission to raise awareness about sepsis across the country. This year, the format is unique - we're going virtual! In celebration of World Sepsis Day on 13th September, we will be cycling for the duration of the month: 1st - 30th September. Target tbc.

If you fancy joining us just message Ayesha to be added to the team.  It's a great opportunity to raise funds for the UK Sepsis Trust, to raise awareness of sepsis so that lives can be saved and also to spend a bit of time thinking about and remembering with love the best man in the world - Dan xxxx

We are looking for some special, kind people to sponsor us! So if you could, it would be great if you would donate to our page. Every year in the UK, sepsis kills at least 48,000 people with better awareness thousands of these lives could be saved. The UK Sepsis Trust has also extended its remit to support survivors and those bereaved by Covid-19.  the effects are similar and equally tragic.   Thank you for your help! Your support and donations will make the difference! Ayesha, Joy and all of Team Daniel Hallam

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
