So I've done a few runs before for LLR but this time it's a bit different. On 6th June 2013, after fighting against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) for 3 years and 2 days, David's body decided that it couldn’t cope with the pain and suffering anymore and opted for a Leeds Rhinos Veterans game at the Headingley in the sky.

He truly has been our superhero and we will be taking Dave with us throughout the rest of our lives.

To honour Dave, and his endless fundraising for LLR, the Team Dave runners are kicking off with a half marathon, one that Dave once promised to run with me in the future. In place of Dave, this year I have the Becker clan, both Jo and Lizzie and some good friends of mine too, Chloe, Wendy and Chris.

We have now asked for all money raised in Dave's name to be targeted towards adults suffering from ALL, to give anyone else in David's position the best fighting chance at beating this horrible disease.
