We (Alex, Rebecca, Nona and Eleanor) will be cycling for three consecutive days in June, covering 450km (280 miles) and taking on 4,136m (13,570ft) of climbing along the way! The cycle crosses three whole European countries (!), from Vienna (Austria) to Oponice (Slovakia) to Banska Stiavinca (Slovakia) and finally to Budapest (Hungary).

The Journey

Day 1

We start off by covering the longest distance from Vienna to Opponice (190km/957m) along the Danube.

Day 2

From Oponice to Banska Stiavinca - things get quite a lot steeper, climbing through lakes and villages in the mountains of Slovakia, covering 105km and climbing 1,775m.

Day 3

The final push! We will endeavour to keep our legs going until Budapest, covering 155km and climbing 1,404m.

Needless to say, the above requires an immense amount of training and perseverance, but we are raising money for a fantastic cause - a number of projects supported by Club Peloton which help vulnerable children.

As you can see, we are aiming to raise a staggering 4k! Every little helps, so please support us and this very worthwhile cause.

All funds raised through pedElle will support the vital work of a range of charities, including the main beneficiary Coram. 

Coram is an incredibly important charity which is motivated by the belief that every child should have the best chance of a fulfilling life and supports the rights and welfare of children through helping find foster and adoptive families for children in greatest need. Coram helps hundreds of thousands of vulnerable children and young people every single year by providing services to children in need.

Coram also strives to protect children's rights in the legal system by continually developing new research and best practice relating to vulnerable children and young people, influencing local and national policy.

Your sponsorship will also support the charitable work of: Cyclists Fighting Cancer, who help children and young people living with cancer regain physical fitness, strength, mental wellness and confidence through sport; Multiple System Atrophy Trust, which supports people with a rare neurological condition with no current known cure or cause; and Tom's Trust, which provides support for children with brain tumours and their families.
