Story

Dear Colleagues/Family and Friends,

Team EMI will be taking part in the running obstacles course Rough Runner on Saturday September 16th, and we are fundraising for Headway charity in the UK to help support a colleague's friend!

To tell you a bit more about this charity - Headway is the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury.

We have a personal story from a colleague of ours which is another reason for us supporting Headway. They have helped support the family in getting her brother back after his accident.

''There is always someone there to not just listen but understand the challenges faced by loved ones as well as the sufferer. Giving expert advice on coping with all the major changes and also the day to day stuff that we usually take for granted. We have met with nothing but hard working and well trained staff and I can honestly say that they have made such a difference to the recovery of my family member.''

Through its network of more than 125 groups and branches across the UK, it provides support, services and information to brain injury survivors, their families and carers, as well as to professionals in the health and legal fields.

Brain injury can challenge every aspect of your life – walking, talking, thinking and feeling – and the losses can be severe and permanent. It can mean losing both the life you once lived and the person you once were.

We appreciate your support in advance!
