In this unprecedented, frightening year, teachers are among the lucky ones -- most of our salaries are safe, and most of our jobs will still be waiting for us when the Covid-19 closure is over.

But many jobs are not so secure, and many households simply can't afford a prolonged time out of work.

We're fundraising for the Trussell Trust, who operate a nationwide network of food banks. Some of the people needing their help this year will be the families of children you teach. Please help if you can.

Last year, food banks in our network provided more than 1.6 million emergency food parcels to people in crisis. More than half a million of these went to children.
