Team Flori’s Walk to Romania · 1 April 2021
Over the course of April, Team Flori’s will walk the distance from our UK base near Canterbury to our Romanian shelter in Iasi - which is 2500km. This is the journey made by the majority of Flori’s animals to begin their new lives.
Flori’s Friends is a much needed lifeline for abused and neglected animals, offering them hope, alongside a happy, healthy and safe future, thanks to our amazing network of adopters and supporters.
Flori’s specialise in trauma and neglect cases and work on a strict no-kill policy. This means that every single animal in their care gets the best chance of a happy, healthy life.
On a personal note, I have volunteered with Flori’s for the past 3 years and have never ceased to be amazed at the lengths they will go to help an animal. This includes my own cat, who faced £6000 worth of surgery and a stray that we rehabilitated with the help of Flori’s (at a cost of over £3000). These are just my 2 personal examples of the amount of money that each animal costs the rescue. These are not even close to the cost of a large number of disabled animals that Flori’s take into their care every day.
Every single volunteer and worker at Flori’s Friends Rescue feel part of the family - and now it’s our time to give back.
