Highland Cross is a 50 mile duathlon (walking or running 20 miles and cycling 30 miles) across Scotland from Kintail to Beauly. The event is organised by volunteers to raise funds for charities across the Highlands. Since 1983, over £6.3m has been raised and distributed in full to deserving causes.

Story

On 5th September last year our good friend and Director of Focus, John Macrae, very suddenly passed away.  Three days before this John sent an email application to the Highland Cross in the hope of securing a team place. John would have been 50 this year and he felt there would be no better incentive to improve his fitness than entering the Highland Cross!!

In memory of John, Team Focus have been successful in entering two teams of three, comprising of Wendy Davidson, Ali Davidson and Callum Munro and Christine Robertson, John Edgar and Allan Walker.  Wendy, Ali and Callum also have the honour of wearing numbers 1,2 and 3. Please note this certainly doesn't mean we will be coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd!!  For John and Allan this is their first Highland Cross, and for John this is the first duathlon he has ever entered. . . . a huge challenge for anyone.

We've set ourselves an ambitious fundraising target but any amount you can contribute will go to the very deserving charities chosen by the Highland Cross.
