Story

PC 1676 Stephen Jackson was a Serving officer with South Yorkshire Police with the Force’s Road Policing Group.

Steve passed away peacefully at home on Saturday 10 October, surrounded by his wife and children, following a short but brave battle with cancer. He was 51.

Steve joined SYP in 1997 based at Ecclesfield, he transferred to the Roads Policing Group in 2005 and his last posting was working on Team Four.

Steve was a bubbly character, always full of life and a committed family man. His was a passionate roads policing officer, a role that he absolutely loved.

He is sorely missed by his family, friends and colleagues.

Steve was an avid supporter of Police charities and in his passing, his Wife has asked that any money raised by donated to a Police Charity. It has been decided the the Police Treatment Centre would be appropriate.

Please help his team to raise money, lovingly in Jacko’s memory.
