Story
Wow!!! Team Frankie's Kids successfully completed the Loire cycle challenge in one piece, with team members and bikes arriving safely back in MK this week!!! Thank you to everyone who has supported our efforts to date and the good news is its still not too late for you to participate and donate to some very worthy causes. Your support would be very much appreciated.
Team Frankie's Kids were delighted to meet Paul Ince, Manager of the MK Dons, before the match on Saturday 5 September 2009. Paul was really helpful and gave us a few tips on fitness and team motivation!
We are delighted to be taking part in the Extra Mile Charity Loire Cycle Challenge 2009 which raises money for several local and national charities including St. Francis’ Children’s Society. My question is will you sponsor our team, Frankie’s Kids? Three friends and I will cycle in relay more than 500 miles over three days this September through North-West . Our aim is to raise £3,000 in sponsorship funds of which two thirds will be donated to St. Francis’ Children’s Society, and one third to the three local and national charities chosen by the Extra Mile Committee. Every penny we raise will go to charity. St. Francis’ Children’s Society is a charity that helps children and young people in need through giving them the opportunity of a family upbringing. 2009 is the Society’s 140th anniversary and it would be great if you felt inspired to join us in helping to continue to provide a better quality of life to children and young people. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. It’s the most efficient way to sponsor Team Frankie's Kids in the Extra Mile Charity Loire Cycle Challenge 2009. The charities get your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. It's a win-win situation! The four charities to benefit are St. Francis’ Children’s Society, the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI), MK Snap – a local special needs charity and the Prostate Cancer Charity.
