GMYN supports young people who face significant challenges, including looked after children; young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and young people facing mental health challenges. GMYN helps young people transition to adulthood feeling skilled, supported and positive.

Story

GMYN is a positive youth charity - we are all members of staff here and are passionate about the work and the young people we support!

We have been inspired to run 13.1 miles. Joe has never run this far in his life, and Faye and Kate haven't for a long while.... It will be a big challenge!

Half of the young people in the UK feel like they do not belong to their local communities, one third feel lonely and half feel unready for work.

GMYN helps young people aged 13-25 in Greater Manchester to overcome barriers and feel part of society. We deliver a range of social action and volunteering programmes to help young people learn vital life skills, develop positive wellbeing and build a network of supportive people.

Put simply, the work GMYN does is great, and it's for young people that face some tough challenges. BUT, it needs money to help us do it!
