Whether you walk, run or climb the stairs, step for St Mary's Hospice. It costs £9000 a day to care for those that need us, show your support and complete 9000 steps everyday in March.

Story

Members of Team Grasmere plan to complete 9000 steps a day for 28 days to support St Mary's Hospice. It costs £9000 a day to run St Mary's and with our support, they can be there to care for those who need it most. If you think 9,000 steps is too much, set your own target. If you're pretty fit already, aim higher. The main thing is to join in, support each other and raise money for our local hospice.

Our challenge runs from 1 to 28 February 2021.

Anyone can join us, the more the better. You don't have to live in Grasmere. The friends who are running Team Grasmere are mainly members of Grasmere WI, but anyone, men women, boys, girls living anywhere in the world can join in.

February could be a bit tough to get through in 2021, with lockdown and cold weather. Get stepping every day, record your progress, count the days and after 28 days you'll be fitter, we'll have raised money for St Mary's and it will be March! The days will be longer, we'll be 3 weeks from the Spring Solstice and just four weeks away from the clocks going forward.
