Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Our youngest child Joshua was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on the 1st February 2011 aged just 1 year 5 months old and life as we knew it changed forever for both him and us.

He started off on 4 injections a day while we learned how to count carbs, trying our best to absorb the huge amount of knowledge needed to manage this condition while still trying to get on with daily life.  Thankfully he was lucky enough to be given his Medtronic insulin pump 5 months later, still aged 1 and has never looked back.

Josh is as happy a wee boy as you will ever see, now aged six and takes his diabetes in his stride, however as parents its not as easy at times. That being said things are changing all the time and are advancing all the time and thats why we like to try and raise as much as we can for The JDRF who work tirelessly to help improve lives and continue to push the boundaries.

We would be delighted if you could donate anything even if its just £1 it all goes in the kitty and towards a fantastic cause.

Thanks very much in advance.
