Schneider Electric Paris Marathon 2023 · 2 April 2023 ·

52 Lives aims to change someone's life every week of the year and spread kindness. It is based on the simple premise that people are good, and good people working together can achieve amazing things. We also have a School of Kindness, running free Kindness Workshops for 100,000 children a year.

Story

On the 2nd April 2023, Hebe and Hannah (otherwise known as Miss Way and Miss Goulding), will be running the Schneider Electric Paris Marathon, in aid of 52 Lives. What started out as a spontaneous decision to ‘challenge ourselves’ has now (to our great surprise) turned out to be one of the most enjoyable things that we have ever done. However, as two people who until a month ago had never so much as run a 5k, as the miles begin to rack up, so does our need for motivation… This is where 52 Lives comes in. As teachers at Thomas’s Battersea, we are going to be running the marathon in support of the school’s amazing charity of the year. As the name suggests, the aim of 52 Lives is to change someone’s life every week of the year; we would love to raise as much money as possible, to help to change as many lives as possible. The children in our classes are currently our biggest cheerleaders and have very kindly predicted that we are going to ‘win’ the marathon. We love their optimism, and would like to match it by setting ourselves the target of raising £5252 - £100 for every mile that we run. Any donations that you can make towards this will be hugely appreciated and highly motivational when pounding the Parisian pavements. Thank you so much in advance. Hebe and Hannah
